Education Program

RBC Education Series

The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA) is committed to being a resource for the education community. Our first season saw more than 6,000 students experience the magic of live performance, many for the first time and we are thrilled to have been able to inspire a love of the theatre and the arts.

Since opening our doors in February 2009, the RHCPA has focused on creating an education program where students can learn valuable lessons, skills and attitudes outside the classroom. All of our shows have direct links to the Ontario Curriculum, both at the elementary and secondary levels and teacher resource guides are available for each production. A question and answer session follows each performance, allowing students the opportunity to ask questions directly to the artists, enhancing their experience and deepening their understanding.

The 2011-2012 RBC Education Series promises to be an incredible program of dance, drama, music and performance. Students of all ages will have the opportunity to attend high-quality, engaging productions and participate in interactive workshops with industry professionals to continue the learning process in an intimate setting. Above all, the RHCPA will continue to be a venue that strives for the growth of the student through the arts.

We invite you to become a part of the educational experience at the RHCPA!
