Policies and Procedures

Cameras & Recording Devices: Cameras and other recording devices (audio, video and still) are not permitted in the theatre and may be confiscated if used during a performance.

Children: It is strongly recommended that children under 6 years of age not be brought to the theatre except for family events specifically described as such by the RHCPA. In any event, due to Fire Code Regulations all patrons, including children and babies, must have a ticket for admittance.

Cell Phone and Personal Electronic Device Policy: The use of cell phones and other electronic devices is strictly prohibited while in the auditorium. Cellular phones and other devices can cause distractions to performers and other patrons, please turn all devices off!

Seating Policy: Every effort is made to start performances at the announced hour unless there is an unavoidable delay. For the consideration of our patrons and performers, anyone arriving while a performance is in progress will be seated only at times designated by the artist and their management. Late arriving patrons may be directed to seats in the rear of the theatre until intermission.

Smoking: The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts is a non-smoking facility.

Lost and found items are kept in the box office. To report a lost item contact the Box Office at 905-787-8811

The RHCPA is a fully accessible facility. Accessible seating is available from the time the tickets go on sale until the time of the event. Seating is sold on a first-come, first-served basis, contact the box office for assistance when booking these seats.

Assistive Listening Devices are available for use in the theatre, headsets are available at the ticket office prior to the performances. There is no charge for this service, however a deposit or ID is required. Parking for patrons who experience disabilities is available in the RHCPA parking lot. Accessible restrooms can be found in the Main Lobby.

Dress Code: There is no specific dress code.

A Public Phone is located in the main lobby across from the Main Bar.

Coat Check is available in the Main Lobby.

In case of emergency or for first aid please contact the nearest usher. The theatre has three AED machines, they are available for your use should you need them, however if you do not know how operate them please obtain assistance from theatre staff.

The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts is a fragrance-free facility.

Every patron must have a ticket to gain entry to the house. We are bound to this by fire regulation in order to have an accurate count of the number of patrons in the house during a show. We are prohibited to fill the house beyond its regulated capacity. There are no exceptions to this requirement including infants and children.
